An amorphous metal transformer (AMT) represents a highly efficient transformer for electric grids. [1] Its magnetic core is crafted from ferromagnetic amorphous metal, often using Metglas, an alloy of iron, boron, silicon, and phosphorus, in the form of ultra-thin foils (around 25 µm) that are rapidly cooled from a molten state.

Under forced air cooling conditions, it can operate at 130% of its rated load. An optional temperature control and protection system with superior performance can provide reliable assurance for the transformer's safe operation.

6. Transformer Coupling with Dyn11 Configuration: The transformer's coupling group is designed with a Dyn11 configuration, minimizing the impact of high harmonics.
