PT or CT fails. SF6 ring main unit with distribution network automation interfaces is often equipped with PT and CT to provide data information such as switch operation power and load current required for distribution network automation. The poor quality of PT and CT provided by the manufacturer is the main cause.
Lightning arrester fails. Some lightning arresters in the SF6 ring main unit break down and explode, causing a short circuit between the cables in the room or the cable head discharges to the shell.
The operating mechanism fails. As the SF6 ring main unit in humid areas is not operated for a long time, the mechanism springs and auxiliary contacts of the control circuit switch are prone to rust.
Cable lap fails. Because the quality of the cable head itself and the construction technology are not good enough, especially when the large cross-section cable gradually releases the stress after installation.
CustomAC Metal-Enclosed Switchgear can be customized to fit your specific application requirements while reducing maintenance costs and improving reliability.
Gear is configured to meet any system or application need
Switches and fuses never need adjusting, programming, or dielectric testing
Utility-grade design withstands time and the elements
Preassembled and simpler construction requirements
Lower up-front and maintenance costs than metal-clad switchgear
Fuses offer faster fuse-clearing time and reduce system stress compared to circuit breakers
